Access to the latest high quality information on renewables, energy efficiency and climate change is fundamental to the acceleration of the clean energy marketplace, facilitating investments, promoting new legislation and regulations and broadening interest and knowledge in the sector.
reegle acts as a unique clean energy information portal, targeting specific stakeholders including governments, project developers, businesses, financiers, NGOs, academia, international organizations and civil society. Alongside comprehensive country energy profiles, energy statistics and a directory of relevant stakeholders it also offers the clean energy search and an extensive glossary. There is also an insightful clean energy blog with interesting and up-to-date background information.
reegle’s information gateway provides information and data on all the various sub-sectors within sustainable energy at a global level including:
Unrivaled in its field, reegle’s experienced team of internal experts pre-select and review all sources to ensure optimum quality control and currently feature over 550 websites. Strong links to the existing databases of core ‘Knowledge Partners’ such as the World Bank, IEA and UNIDO have also been established, broadening the overall information offered.
Utilising an intelligent search mechanism to refine an intellegent web search, reegle offers user-friendly features to ensure a pleasant and sucessful search experience.
reegle has developed an Actors Catalogue, a directory of organisations involved in clean energy. It contains contact details, activities and focus of (and links to) more than 1700 initiatives, partnerships and organisations involved in relevant fields. This directory can also be used with a filter mechanism, displaying stakeholders of the required type and region.
As an ever evolving enterprise, reegle has introduced a frequently updated blog, developed strong co-operations with carefully chosen partners and offers developers all its data free for re-use in an open data format. An exciting new feature are the country energy profiles which sum up stakeholders, project outcome papers, important statistics and energy policies from several trusted sources in a comprehensive dossier.
The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) is a Public-Private Partnership launched at the Johannesburg World Summit in 2002. The REEEP aims to accelerate the global marketplace for energy effiency and renewable energy by actively facilitating financing mechanisms for sustainable energy projects and structuring policy initiatives for clean energy markets on the ground.
The Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century (REN21) is a global policy network aimed at providing a forum for international leadership on renewable energy. Its goal is to allow the rapid expansion of renewable energies in developing and industrial countries by bolstering policy development and decision-making on sub-national, national and international levels.
The information provided on reegle is derived from three different sources: Existing databases of our knowledge partners, pre-selected key internet sources, and its own internal database.
