The objectives of the association are the co-ordination, representation and the defence of common interests of its members.

APREN is empowered to participate in the elaboration of energy policies and environmental policies, which take advantage of renewable natural resources in the Mini-Hydroelectric power, Wind Power, Solar Energy, Geothermal Energy, Biomass Energy and Biogas. APREN is available as a spokesperson and interface between promoters and the administration.
