The aim of EKN - The Swedish Export Credits Guarantee Board - is to promote Swedish exports by issuing guarantees. EKN shall offer the Swedish export companies support which corresponds to the support available for their competitors in other countries. EKN’s activities shall be financially self-supportive.

EKN’s guarantee functions as an insurance where the Swedish Government assumes certain risks, e.g. the risk for non-payment. EKN's customers include export companies and banks.
