The Commission is required by law to regulate, manage and develop the utilization of energy resources in Ghana; to provide the legal, regulatory and supervisory framework for all providers of energy in the country: specifically by the granting of licenses for the transmission, wholesale, supply, distribution and sale of electricity and natural gas; refining, storage, Bulk distribution, marketing and sale of petroleum products and related matters.
