In order to bundle their proposals when preparing for the Renewables Conference 2004 in Bonn and to strengthen their position, NGOs from all over the world formed CURES. CURES calls for ambitious programs to promote renewable energies.

CURES tries to bring initiatives, projects, processes and non governmental organisations all over the world together. It serves as an information network. CURES also monitors and evaluates policies, processes, governments and international financial institutions. It analyses projects on a regional basis, evaluates the IAP programmes on sustainability and monitors the 2010-EU-targets.
