Mission

The CDER is an independent agency under the Ministry for Energy and the Mines.

Promotes markets for Renewable Energies through evaluation of renewable resources and sites.

Supports decentralized rural energy supply through renewables

 

Activities

  • Evaluation of the wind, solar and biomass resources and identification of sites
  • Decentralized rural energy: regional pilot Projects (Errachidia, Chefchaouen, Azilal, Safi...)
  • Development of technical, organisational and financialconcepts for an increased use of photovoltaics within the framework of the national programme PERG.
  • Continuous development of other RE sectors : small-scale hydro, wind and hybrid systems.
  • Rational use of the firewood: Introduction and development of improved technologies in urban and rural areas
  • The thermal solar Program (PROMASOL): Promotion and diffusion of solar thermal energy.
  • Quality control of equipment and services: Proposal and development of standards and benchmarks; Certification and labelling of equipment
