Scope of activity: implements the policy and enforces the laws as determined by the legislative body, executes the administrative supervision of implementation of the laws and other regulations, enacts regulations for implementation of the laws and other regulations, proposes and gives recommendations in the field of legislation, answers to questions of the legislative authorities, performs other tasks of administrative and professional nature as set out by the laws and regulations.

One of the sections in this Ministry is the Section for Energy responsible for defining an energy strategy of the Federation of Bosnia & Herzegovina with the possibility to extend it also to the whole area of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first roundtable about the energy strategy was held on 26 November 2002 but until now the strategy hasn’t been finished yet.
