COGENERATION ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (COGEN INDIA) has been formed to promote cogeneration projects in all applicable industrial & commercial sectors, by providing single window assistance to existing and prospective co-generators, expert advice on conceptualization, technology, project funding, equipment selection, system improvisation, interpretation of regulations of State/ Central regulatory authorities and representations, etc. and bring all concerned parties on a common platform to facilitate faster development of infrastructure, to build and operate incidental and grid connected cogeneration plants.

COGEN INDIA has been continuously lobbying for promotion and development of conducive and sustainable policy and regulatory framework for development of CHP/ DE in India. It has also been pursuing the main issues of provision of adequate capital for entrepreneurs through lending agencies’ simplified norms. Now nearing it's 4th successful year in operation, lot of actions and activities have been planned/ being undertaken at Cogen India, for this year and the coming years, towards development & promotion of CHP/ DE and also beneficial member services.
