His mission is to reach sustainability within a generation. David Suzuki 's Foundation has three major compartments: Sustainable fisheries: concerns habitat conservation, fishery management, aquaculture Clean Energy : tries to fulfill energy needs with sustainable solutions, i.e. renewable energies and more efficient use Natural Challenge: promotes the ten most effective actions to take for individuals in everyday situations, one can sign up to make a stand. He reckons the investment into public transport and wind/solar... energy will also boost the economy. There are about 40 000 individual supporters worldwide already.

The foundation works with governments, company leaders, academics and the public. It wants Canada to reward activities that reduce waste and conserve energy resources. It encourages the public to take individual steps and therefor creates more awareness. David Suzuki gives interviews, speeches and appears in TV shows to bring about the necessary changes in our society. He also has a blog on his homepage.
