Their mission is to turn North Western Territory (NWT) society into global leaders in clean, effcient, carbon neutral energy practices. They want to promote renewable energy, increase efficiency and reduce the causes of climate change.
They assist communities, territorial governments, businesses and consumers to work together, and help and advise individuals and communities. They have funds to give in order to improve efficiency and to swith to renewable sources, and they educate people about these matters in the NWT. There's also a resource library on their website as well as a listing of permits obtainable in the NWT.

Generating heat and electricity: Since May 2010, 48 Volther PVT collectors by Solimpeks have both supplied hot water to a children's home in Surrey County, Great Britain, and fed solar electricity into the local energy grid. According to the manufacturer, the system's payback period is 12 years, thanks to the Feed-in Tariff scheme for solar electricity.
