Mission
Ensure that the principles of environmental sustainablily are integrated into all lending policies and programs through microfinance and other financial institutions that serve the world's poorest families.
Activities
The objectives of GreenMicrofinance Clean Energy Awareness Campaign are to educate microfinance institutions (MFI) and networks, as well as the general public on:
- clean, renewable technology which reduce negative environmental impacts
- clean energy's health and education co-benefits for microfinance clients and their families
- green microenterprises' economic potential
- microfinance clients' role in mitigating climate change
