The Monash Sustainability Institute will deliver solutions to some of the key sustainability issues of the 21st century through:

• Research -- Promoting and facilitating collaborative, cross-disciplinary research. The Institute draws together research teams that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries, and provides a portal to share knowledge between Monash and the community
• Education -- Teaching principles and methods of sustainability to all students
• Practice -- Incorporating sustainable practices into the university
