Mission

Through partnerships and alliances, FDC undertakes a range of initiatives which seek to improve the lives of poor people in developing countries, foster innovative approaches to development, and connect policy work to self-help efforts at the grass roots level.
 

Activities

- Supporting the access to modern forms of energy for the one billion people in the Asia-Pacific region who do not currently benefit from access to clean/cleaner/more renewable energy. - Developing, collating and disseminating training materials to ensure stronger responses and better risk management by microfinance institutions in the event of natural disasters. - Disaster Risk Management Consultancy - Governance and Gender Leadership - Local Economic Development - Promotion of greater financial inclusion for the poor in developing countries, through a broad focus on microfinance and related activities. - Migrant Worker Remittances - Private Sector Engagement - Working in developing countries to help maximise the benefits resource sector companies can deliver to communities while at the same time supporting and growing their core business. - Social Enterprise Development - Technology for Development (ICT4D) - Training Unit
