ConBio AS is a business development company within the renewable energy sector with focus on the role of biomass in the fight to reduce GHG emissions We also do consultancies and engineering work for the upstream pellet/briquette producing industry as well as down stream installations bio based thermal, electric and cooling energy production. he CEO of ConBio have a background from mechanical forest industries with 13 years in international positions. Among those 5 years as Forestry Officer in FAO (Food & Agriculture Organization) of the UN. From 97 to 02 I was 100% engaged by Shell Norway / Shell International Renewables (SIR) as advisor biomass in their renewable energy engagement.

We have for several years worked on a multidisciplinary energy concept comprising: - Decentralized waste based energy production (short hauled final waste treatment) - Decentralized production of bio based value added fuel production (short hauled raw material) - Decentralized production of thermal/electric and cooling energy based on short hauled renewable energy carriers VS large district heating systems based on long hauled waste. Lead elements in this work include: - Increasing prices on fossil based fuels - Ban on disposing organic material in depots - Increasing levies/taxes on fossil fuels - GHG quota trading in the CDM & JI (CERs) segments. - Green certificates and feed in tariffs for renewable based power
